A delicious cocktail of animation techniques by SSSR. Best Music Video at the British Animation Awards.

Lex Records is a record label that understands very well that the best promotion for their artists is to create exciting and innovative music videos. They recently commissioned the upcoming UK-based motion graphics designers collective SSSR to create, not one, but three music videos for Oakland-based band Subtle’s latest album Wishingbone. SSSR are Marc Reisberg and Kristian Hammerstad from Norway and Yu Sato from Japan. The animation production trio are fresh out of art school (St. Martins, class of ‘04) but have already earned heaps of respect for their work. Their videos are a delicious cocktail of animation techniques: 2d, drawn, stop motion, 3d mixed with film and photography. Part 3 of the music video trilogy won the award for Best Music Video at the British Animation Awards. “F.K.O. (Fuck Kelly Osborne)” is part 1 and is no less impressive.
